Summer Camps for School Children & Families   Season: April to End November

Basic aim and object is to give exposure to the school children to camp in the wilderness especially in the lap of Mother Nature in the Himalayan Mountains. Students are motivated to wander in the valleys laden with deep and dense forests of mixed variety, cross the icy cold water streams, visit the cascading waterfalls and rivulets. Tents are pitched in the most picturesque surrounding of pines scented forests in the foothills of snow clad might Dhauladhar. Lectures are delivered by the experts in forest conservation, ecological balance, mountain hazards and on the environmental degradation. Participants are introduced to adventure related activities like wall climbing, rock climbing, rappelling, river crossing and jumaring etc. Night navigation, map reading and rescue drills are a part of summer camps. 5 Days period is requirement based and can be extended or curtailed as per the demand.

Day wise itenary of the Trek:

 

Trek tours

Day 0 Arrival at the campus. Allotment of accommodation and introductory lecture. Site seeing to prominent  places.
Day 1

Lecture on the basic techniques & principles of rock  climbing. Move to the rock for rock climbing. Learning  of various knots.

Day 2 Lecture on various types of Rappelling. Demo and practice, river crossing, bushcraft and obstacles.
Day 3 Trek to Triund 9 Km (2875 m) Halt in tents.
Day 4 Triund to the snowline (3200m) & Back to Triund.
Day 5

Triund to Mcleodganj via Dharamkot village. De-briefing and campfire.

Departure by night bus or on  the 6th day morning.
